The main aim of this work was to study the occupational activities of female graduates in science and technology related fields. The study was carried out through a survey which covered the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria where key firms within the science, technology and engineering sub-sectors were selected. Structured questionnaires and guided interviews were used to elicit information. The results of the study suggest that enrollment increased over the ten-year period (1995-2004) in S&T courses by 53-69% for male and 31-47% for female. A greater proportion of S&T female work force opereate in R&D, administration or finance departments while domestic concerns affect progress at work It was recommended that affirmative actions should be taken to employ more women in the S&T sector, and conducive environments should be provided for women by employers of labour.
