Strategic to accomplishing the mandate of the Centre is the provision of expert advice in the design, formulation, appraisal and review of S&T policies including sub-sectoral policies. Policies designed and formulated based on empirical data remove guess work from governance and also provides state of the art knowledge to better management of Science, Technology and Innovation.

In doing this, the Centre employs the services of both in-house members of staff and also experts in various fields. Some of the research projects are ongoing while some have been concluded.
