A new organizationl structure was approved for the Centre after the 2005 S&T reforms. This comprises the headquarters at Ile-Ife, headed by DG/CEO, who reports to the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology. Within this structure is an Academic Advisory Board and 4 other units directly overseen by the DG/CEO; Internal Audit, Public Relations, Servicom and Zonal Office Coordination. This approved interim structure has four departments as follows:

• Training and Research
• Technology Innovation and Enterprise Studies
• Planning and Documentation
• Finance and Administration

The Centre currently operates three zonal centres in Lagos (South-West), Abuja (North-Central) and Bayelsa (South-South). Efforts have reached advanced stage for the take-off of the North-West office in Kano before the end of 2009. The remaining two offices in the other geopolitical zones of the country will follow soon.

The Management Team is headed by the Centre's DG/CEO. He is ably supported by the Heads of Departments, Heads of Internal Audit and SERVICOM Units who make up the management team. Others include the Heads of Administration and Account Divisions. A number of management committees also exist to advise the Director-General with regard to policy formulation in the running of the to day-to-day administration of the Centre. These include:

• Staff Welfare Committee
