CENTRE HOLDS TRAINING FOR ACCOUNTANTS, AUDITORS AND PROCUREMENT OFFICERS

Accountants, auditors and procurement officers of NACETEM underwent a two-day training workshop titled “Workshop on Effective Financial Control in the Public Sector for Accounts, Audit, Store and Procurement Officers” organised by Iwe Peace Consults from the 12th to 13 of October, 2011.

The workshop featured topics on e-payment, store, effective financial control mechanism, attitude to work and handling of official documents, records and official documentation. Participants were exposed to the importance of e-payment, methods, successes and challenges of e-payment, budget and budgeting, role of budgeting and appropriation, procurement procedure in the public sector, auditing in the public sector and a host of other issues.
