The National Centre for Technology Management was established in 1992 as an agency responsible for the development and management of expertise and policies in areas of Science, Technology and Innovation. This came as a recommendation of the Second Conference of Ministers Responsible for Application of Science & Technology (CASTAFRICA II) to the socio-economic development of Africa held in July, 1987 in Arusha, Tanzania. In recognition of the expertise of NACETEM in capacity building, policy research and consultancy in Science, Technology and Innovation Management, the Plateau State Ministry of Science and Technology invited the Director-General/CEO NACETEM, Dr. Willie O. Siyanbola to their 1 st S&T Intervention Summit to give a talk on “ Harnessing Science, Technology and Innovation Management for Grassroots Development in Plateau State; Policy Issues, Challenges and Agenda for Action”.
