Innovation: Key to managing to challenges of climate change and food security in Nigeria
Innovation has been proffered as the solution to the challenges of climate change and food security in Nigeria. This recommendation was made by the Director-Genera/CEO of NACETEM, Dr. Willie Siyanbola at the presentation of a public lecture presented at the 8th Annual College Lecture Series of the College of Food Sciences, Bells University of Technology, Ota on the 13th of March, 2013.
NACETEM may soon begin collaborations with partners from the United Kingdom (UK), going by the words of Mr. David Woolfe, the First Secretary, Science, Innovation and Climate Change under the British High Commission in Nigeria, who visited NACETEM headquarters office in Ile-Ife on 22nd March, 2013.
NACETEM Staff Consults for IDRC Climate Change Project
Mr. Maruf Sanni, a Senior Researcher with the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) was invited as a consultant to attend a workshop held in Nairobi, Kenya between the 30th and 31st of January, 2013. His role as a consultant is to review research and policies on climate change adaptation in the urban areas of West Africa.
